Donna Serena Caddle was born on 26th February 1970, at Barking Hospital, Essex, to Caribbean parents, Veneta and Winston Caddle. She is a sister to one sibling. She attended Furze Infants Furze Junior Schools and Warren Secondary School in Chadwell Heath, Essex and The John Loughborough Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Tottenham. Donna lived in Chadwell Heath from the age of 2. Raised in both the UK and then later went to Barbados, West Indies to live from the age of 12 where she continued with
her secondary education. Donna returned to the UK at the age of 19 pursuing her further education at the Redbridge Technical College and Havering College of Further Education. From there she went into employment in the private sector as a secretary within the NHS.
In 1993, at the age of 24, she became a first time mother which took over her life. She continued to work part time and relished the love of having her first child which was a great challenge. In 2000, she decided to leave the UK and make a home in Barbados. However, this was not to be and returned in July 2001 to start her life again. In 2004, she became a mum for the second time.
Her journey continued when her love for music enabled her to set up an instrumental music group within her church. She then decided she wanted to play music and venture into radio presenting. Her ambition was to be a News Presenter. Her passion for music allowed her to work for a number of radio stations. In 2002, she began her radio presenting journey as “Lady Destinee,” presenting talk and musical programmes on Blues Fm, Riddimbusta, Krystal Radio, Galaxy Radio, Destinemedia and Venture FM.
In 2013, she rebranded herself as “Empress Destinee,” setting up her vision – an online radio station called Real Love Radio, which supports and features mainly UK artists. Her second greatest achievement!
